Mathematics
It is essential for students in today's world to develop strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, and this is the major focus in our math curriculum. Through a manipulative, hands-on approach students begin to develop these important skills and conceptual understandings, while at the same time they also acquire strong computational skills. Using the Real Math Program, students encounter real-world problems and explore concepts in the mathematical strands of numeration, operations, data and chance, geometry, measurement, and patterns, functions, and algebra.
The Real Math is the first and only fully integrated technology program for mathematics instruction. Real Math’s ePresentation provides electronic lessons that engage the entire classroom in actively learning mathematical concepts through whole group activities like Mental Math and group discussion. Moreover, Real Math’s eAssess includes an online tracking and strategy tool for teachers in order to use assessments effectively to inform instruction and immediately access suggestions on improving individual student performances where needed.
